Three responsible gambling organisations join forces to tackle gambling harm
Better Change, Gordon Moody and Mindway AI have come together to provide the gambling industry with support via a global network
A new responsible gambling (RG) network comprising of Better Change, Gordon Moody and Mindway AI is aiming to provide a one-stop shop for gambling industry stakeholders on the subject of gambling-related harm.
A key element of the global network will be a learning platform for operators to use with their staff. There will be modules available in multiple languages to help educate staff about the issues surrounding gambling-related harm.
Better Change was founded in 2021 and announced in May that it had simultaneously achieved ISO 9001 certification and a place on the UK Gambling Commission’s (UKGC) research, education and treatment (RET) list.
Following the new network announcement, Better Change founder Victoria Reed said: “Working with like-minded organisations is something Better Change has always prided itself on. We believe that to impact individuals and make gambling as safe as possible for all, collaboration is key.”
Gordon Moody is a registered charity that has been operating for over 50 years, providing residential support and treatment for those suffering from serious gambling addiction.
Matthew Hickey, CEO of Gordon Moody, said: “Working in partnership is absolutely crucial for Gordon Moody in being able to grow our services and meet the demand of those needing treatment and support.
“We see collaborating with dynamic organisations such as Mindway AI and Better Change as the way forward to increase the focus on responsible gambling and those who need help.”
Mindway AI, a Denmark-based software firm that creates technology solutions for fully automatic detection, uses its tech to help monitor at-risk and problem gambling behaviour.
Rasmus Kjærgaard, CEO of Mindway AI, commented: “We see industry collaboration between different types of organisations as a critical part of our mission to empower gambling operators to enhance player protection.
“This is the exact reason why we agreed to join this global network initiative, adding our sophisticated RG solutions and services to the network.”
