The Football Pools appoints industry veteran as CEO
James Arnold began his role at the start of this month after just over three years with the LiveScore Group

The Football Pools has appointed James Arnold as its new CEO.
He will replace Derek Lloyd, who held the role since July 2017.
Arnold took up his new position at the beginning of the month, joining the iconic betting firm after a three-year stint with the LiveScore Group.
He joined the Sam Sadi-led firm in September 2019 as the company’s chief operating officer, before becoming chief commercial officer in July 2022.
Prior to his time at LiveScore, Arnold spent just under half a decade with Betway as bingo director and later as director of international markets and esports.
Arnold also worked as chief marketing officer at BoyleSports between May 2013 and August 2014.
Before his time at BoyleSports, he spent more than four years with Sportingbet as its head of European marketing.
On his new appointment, Arnold said: “I’m delighted to be joining such an iconic British brand at a time of significant change and development.
“A lot of good work has already been done to reposition the company for growth, and I look forward to working with the executive team to bring these plans to fruition over the coming months.”
