Human resources specialist Anna-Clara Fredriksson to join Swedish firm’s C-suite in May 2023

Svenska Spel has named HR specialist Anna-Clara Fredriksson as its new chief human resources officer (CRHO).
Fredriksson will start her new position on 8 May and will join from software company SAS Institute where she currently works as a regional HR director.
Prior to joining SAS in May 2014, she had previously held HR-facing roles at Telia Company, Empower Group, SEB and the Carnegie Investment Bank.
After leaving Carnegie in March 2012, Fredriksson established her own HR firm Astral HR.
In her new role at Svenska Spel, Fredriksson will be responsible for the group’s HR and corporate culture development.
She will report directly to CEO Patrik Hofbauer.
Touching on Fredriksson’s appointment, Hofbauer said: “I am very happy to welcome Anna-Clara Fredriksson to Svenska Spel. Her solid competence from the tech industry and long experience in leading positions in HR will be valuable to us.”
Fredriksson added: “Svenska Spel has a strong brand and a fine corporate culture that I look forward to continuing to develop.
“I also like that Svenska Spel has an interesting and important social commitment, is a major sponsor of Swedish sports and that the group is a role model in sustainable gambling. I hope to contribute with my experience in HR from various industries and having worked internationally for many years.”
