Superbet secures Brazil football legend Cafu as new brand ambassador
Operator vows to thrill Brazilian audiences as it names ex-World Cup icon Cafu as its latest ambassador

Superbet has unveiled Brazilian football icon Cafu as its latest brand ambassador.
The operator revealed that the two-time World Cup winner is the face of its new ‘You can trust it, here is SUPER’ campaign to celebrate Superbet’s federal licence to continue operating in the recently regulated Brazilian market.
The market went live on 1 January 2025, with Superbet one of just 14 operators handed a definitive licence, while 52 other companies were granted provisional ones.
Superbet’s promotional video switches between footage of Cafu repeatedly striking a football at a brick wall, representing the obstacles he faced throughout his career, and animations documenting the Brazilian’s football club career, which started at São Paulo.
The video also features narration from Cafu, as he explains the trust he placed in a former coach who wanted him to change positions, which eventually led to him becoming the national team’s first choice right-back for nearly a decade.
The theme of trust is used to link Cafu’s career to the Superbet campaign, with the former AC Milan star explaining: “I am Cafu and now I play on Superbet’s team. Trust, because here is SUPER.
“On Superbet, the game is super safe, regulated and with guaranteed withdrawal – be super.”
The operator’s LinkedIn post, alongside the promotional video, read: “We started 2025 by thrilling Brazilian audiences with our newest brand ambassador: football legend, Cafu.
“Today, we are proud to share our latest campaign, created on the concept ‘You can trust it, here is SUPER’, which celebrates the firm approval of our federal licence, authorising the Superbet platform to continue operating in Brazil, in a legally compliant and responsible manner.”
Patrícia Prates, Superbet Brazil’s marketing director, said: “The video tells Cafu’s story in the first person, highlighting the trust that other people placed in him throughout his career and how that trust made a difference.
“In the same way, we seek to establish a relationship of trust with our users, reinforcing that our platform is safe, regulated and with guaranteed withdrawals.
“We want to go beyond entertainment, setting a standard of excellence in the betting market. This commitment begins with offering a super-safe game to those who choose our platform.”
Elsewhere in Superbet news, the Bucharest-headquartered operator named former Betclic manager Emanuele Saroli as its new head of affiliates on 9 January.
In his new role, Saroli is expected to oversee the firm’s affiliate programme and marketing team across multiple markets.
