Superbet recruits former Casumo investor as new CMO
Ex-Casumo marketing chief John Harmander returns to the online gambling industry after four-year absence

Superbet has hired former Casumo marketer and investor John Harmander as its new chief marketing officer (CMO).
Harmander, who joined the operator on 12 January, is based in Croatia’s capital Zagreb and reports directly into Superbet chief executive Johnny Hartnett.
Harmander spent three years at Casumo between 2013 and 2016 as CMO while the business transformed from 15 employees into a 250-strong organisation.
He helped to build the casino firm’s marketing, brand and creative strategy.
Harmander has been working outside of the gambling industry since 2016 as an investor. During this time, he co-founded Stockholm-based online grocery store brand Fodi.
Responsibilities in his new role at Superbet include leading the operator’s marketing strategy in different global markets and scaling up brand, advertising content, digital acquisition and data.

“I wanted to return to the industry because of the compelling vision of Superbet,” said Harmander.
“When meeting the management team it felt very inspiring to be a part of this journey and this is the type of journey I want to be part of.
“After meeting the rest of the company, I’m more sure than ever, and I also missed the tech innovation part of the online gambling industry,” he added.
Superbet recorded a 78.8% year-on-year rise in online net gaming revenue for the 12 months ended 30 June 2019.
Superbet CEO Hartnett told EGR Intel: “We were delighted to get someone of John’s calibre and experience into the business.
“Given his track record of creating and accelerating brands inside and outside the sector, we felt he was the perfect fit for the next stage of Superbet’s journey.”
