Superbet raids Google for new global director of brand strategy
Sports betting operator ramps up marketing recruitment drive in Zagreb and Bucharest

Superbet has recruited Nikola Jellačić as its new global director of brand strategy and growth.
Jellačić spent nearly nine years at Google in Zagreb, starting in November 2011 as a product strategist before being promoted to industry manager and then industry head.
The Croat – who has been hired for his digital experience and specific local knowledge – officially joined Superbet’s Zagreb office on 1 October and will report into CMO John Harmander.
Elsewhere at Superbet, Bucharest-based Vlastimir Vukadinović has been promoted to global marketing director from his position as head of online marketing.
He will be tasked with building and executing country-specific marketing plans, as well as scaling the sports betting operator’s global marketing systems.
Former Casumo CMO Harmander has built up Superbet’s marketing function since he joined in January 2020 with a series of high-profile hires.
Ex-LeoVegas global SEM lead Vedran Karaman was appointed global performance marketing director in September, for example.
“We are always on the lookout for talented people, so we can never say that we are done,” said Harmander, when asked if he had finished building Superbet’s marketing dream team.
