Super Group director of corporate comms exits
Industry stalwart Alan Alger confirms departure from New York-listed operator after more than eight years of service

Super Group director of corporate communications Alan Alger has left the company after more than eight years.
He departs the Betway and Spin parent company having served as its corporate comms director since October 2021.
Alger originally joined Betway in November 2014 as a PR manager before being named head of corporate communications and PR at the online operator in October 2019.
The former Blue Square and Sportingbet PR head shifted to lead comms for Super Group as it geared up for its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange in January 2022.
Super Group went public after completing a $4.75bn SPAC merger with blank-cheque outfit Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp.
Alger also oversaw the communications around the acquisition of Digital Gaming Corporation and the subsequent sale of the firm’s B2B arm to Games Global.
Taking to LinkedIn to confirm his departure, Alger wrote: “After nearly eight-and-a-half years of loyal service and wholehearted dedication to Super Group and its associated brands, including Betway, my time in the business has come to an end; with the NYSE-listed company no longer requiring a director of corporate communications.
“There are some great individuals across the Super Group business and brands, I wish those people every success for the future,” he added.
