
Sun Bets kicks off debut TV ad campaign
Betting brand's 60-second advert will appear across Sky Sports channels for the entire 2016-17 football season under the #YouBetcha tagline

Tabcorp-powered Sun Bets is looking to hit the ground running with the release of the betting brand’s debut TV advertising campaign.
The 60-second advert was unveiled across a number of TV channels during the weekend and sits at the centre of the bookies’ multi-channel campaign under the #YouBetcha tagline.
Developed by Pulse Creative, the in-house agency of Sun Bet’s parent company News UK, the TV ad features sporting personalities Ian Wright and Matt Chapman, and music by Audio Bullys.
“We wanted a launch ad that felt exciting, energetic and had Sun personality at the core, allowing us to standout in a me-too market,” Kate Bird, marketing director of Betting and Gaming at News UK, said.
“Do I think we’ve achieved that? You Betcha.”
The advert will run for the entire 2016-17 football season across all Sky Sports channels and during some Sky entertainment programmes.
Sun Bets went live earlier this month in time for the new season following a 10-year revenue share deal between News UK and Australian wagering giant Tabcorp.
Although the launch hasn’t been without its issues, with customers having to overcome Tabcorp’s strict KYC procedures while this weekend the operator suffered payments processing problems.
The betting brand will be led by former William Hill director Jamie Hart who officially started in his new role as executive director this morning.
