Stats Perform secures Cricket South Africa deal
Sports data provider to collect and distribute international and domestic data as well as live streaming rights

Stats Perform has been appointed the official data partner for Cricket South Africa (CSA) to cover its international and domestic competitions.
Under the remit of the partnership, Stats Perform’s opta and RunningBall brands will collect and deliver ball-by-ball data to global broadcast, media and betting operators while providing additional insights to bettors and fans.
The agreement will also see Stats Perform distribute live streaming rights to all of South Africa’s international fixtures and CSA’s domestic competitions to licensed sportsbook operators via its Watch&Bet platform.
Additionally, CSA national team coaches will be afforded access to Stats Perform’s ProVision recruitment tool, which taps into opta data to provide insight and analysis into players via graphics and video footage.
Analysts and performance staff from domestic South African cricket franchises in the Mzansi Super League will also gain access to the platform to inform player selection, scouting and opposition analysis.
Stats Perform chief rights officer Alex Rice said he was “thrilled” to be partnering with CSA and was looking forward to the multi-faceted relationship.
Rice continued: “We look forward to ensuring that the CSA coaching team get invaluable data and video insights and maximising significant opportunities for global engagement.
“Through our new agreement, Stats Perform data and video will be used to analyse performance on the pitch and improve the way it is experienced and understood by fans; we look forward to providing a premium in-play gaming experience, improved data insights and providing more content for sponsors,” he added.
Kugandrie Govender, CSA chief commercial executive, said: “Stats Perform was the perfect partner for us. They will help us improve on-field performances through deep and accurate data and analysis software, commercialise our properties and engage with fans at home and overseas. We are excited to work with them to grow the sport we love.”
Elsewhere, CSA recently signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with online operator Betway.
