
Star Sports joins the Oddschecker grid
MD hails deal as a significant moment for the operator as it replaces Smarkets' SBK app on the affiliate's grid


Sports betting operator Star Sports has launched on the Oddschecker grid this week, replacing Smarkets’ app-only sportsbook brand SBK.
Star Sports, which has gained a reputation for laying large bets on and off-course, has been positioned in 14th spot, to the left of recent newcomer Bet UK and the likes of Ladbrokes, Betway and LiveScore Bet.
The deal will also see Star Sports take exclusive headline coverage of the comparison site’s politics, greyhounds and TV areas.
Star Sports’ deal with Oddschecker means the grid, headed by bet365, still features 23 UK-facing bookmakers, plus two exchanges, Betfair and Matchbook, following SBK’s exit.

In April, Oddschecker also signed a new long-term deal with Betfred, which will extend its current 18-year partnership with the affiliate.
Due to the renewal, Betfred retains the 11th position on the grid while expanding its site media presence, including exclusive ownership of the Rugby League pages in alignment with Betfred’s ongoing Super League partnership.
