Stake’s Easygo adds new chief technology officer
Supplier snaps up Simon Wilkinson to lead on tech efforts for crypto operator and streaming platform Kick

Easygo, the technology platform that powers crypto operator Stake, has appointed former Amazon Web Services (AWS) head Simon Wilkinson as its CTO.
Wilkinson joins the Australian firm after a brief stint at AWS in the solutions architecture division and boasts a wealth of technology experience.
He previously served as CTO at forex trading platform Pepperstone, kitchen management service Dragontail Systems and HR software firm PredictiveHire.
He also had a two-year spell with the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group as head of technology.
In joining Easygo, Wilkinson will play a key role in the tech developments around Stake as the operator continues to make strides in the industry.
Easygo was established by 2016 by Stake co-founder Ed Craven, with the operator launched one year later.
It develops the Stake platform, as well as content for the operator.
Easygo also provides the tech for startup streaming platform Kick, which was launched last year as a rival to Twitch.
Kick found itself in the headlines in December after adding prominent gambling streamer Trainwreck to the platform after Twitch moved to ban slots content featuring sites not licensed either in the US or in other jurisdictions that provide sufficient consumer protection appearing on its site. This included Stake.
Last month, Kick revealed it had hit the one million user mark after just 69 days of operations.
For comparison, it took Spotify five months to reach one million users and Meta (then Facebook) 10 months.
Speaking on his move to Easygo, Wilkinson praised the company culture and also highlighted a new recruitment drive for the firm.
He said: “I have joined the most amazing place of work. I am the new CTO of Easygo, we are responsible for Stake.com, a world-leading online crypto gaming platform.
“Alongside this we have launched Kick.com, the fastest-growing streaming platform in the world. The culture in the place is second to none; the team is supportive, hungry to learn and extremely motivated.
“If you want to join, please apply, as we have a number of roles in multiple areas of the business,” he added.
