Stakelogic to launch live casino division
Malta-based supplier plots omni-vertical expansion with new live studio and development brand

Stakelogic will launch its first live casino division offering live casino games to its operator partners, it has been revealed.
The new Stakelogic live studio will serve as an accompaniment to the recently rebranded Stakelogic business and will be led by former NetEnt Live studio engineering manager Anthony Sammut.
Sammut, who spent seven years with NetEnt, transitioned firstly to Authentic Gaming and then to Stakelogic after the closure of the NetEnt Live brand in December 2020 by Evolution.
EGR has learned Stakelogic has been mulling a move into the live casino vertical since the middle of 2020 after the supplier’s clients expressed interests in a potential offering.
Discussing the methodology in moving to open a live studio and his reasons for joining, Sammut explained: “As live casino was new to Stakelogic, some tough decisions needed to be made.
“After a thorough analysis of the required technology infrastructure, the Stakelogic board decided not to buy an existing studio, but to design and build a new studio from square one.
“This made it very attractive for me to join Stakelogic. After working in the live casino industry for many years, I know the importance of applying the right technology from the start.
“It is not often that you get the opportunity to build a studio from scratch, without budgetary constraints forcing you to compromise on quality. In my opinion, Stakelogic were doing everything right. Therefore, I am very happy to be heading Stakelogic Live,” he added.
The initial Stakelogic Live business will launch with automatic roulette, live dealer roulette, live dealer blackjack and live game shows. However other games will be added, with a focus on adding creation and innovation to the live casino vertical.
EGR has learned that Stakelogic’s existing software development centres in Kiev and Belgrade will be used to develop the live casino product, with the firm’s main studio based in Malta.
It is understood the Stakelogic Live brand will be staffed by more than 150 employees.
“The development roadmap has not been released yet. At this moment I can say that there is great interest for private tables and exclusive games,” Sammut explained.
“So, the roadmap will contain a range of state-of-the-art network products, whereby Stakelogic also develops exclusive games for some clients that have already committed to Stakelogic Live.
“It is obvious that Stakelogic will move towards a combined product offering for slots and live casino.
“Based on the current interest from the market, it is expected that most of Stakelogic’s slot clients will also take Stakelogic Live products,” he added.
