Stakelogic confirms cybersecurity incident with CEO emails hacked
Live casino firm insists that no sensitive or confidential information was compromised in the breach, which occurred last year

Stakelogic CEO Stephan van den Oetelaar had his emails hacked last year in a security breach which led to no “sensitive or confidential information” being compromised, the supplier has said.
In an email seen by EGR, Stakelogic’s legal team confirmed that Van den Oetelaar’s mailbox was accessed by an unauthorised party.
Following the hack, the legal team stated some individuals and businesses may have received emails that appeared to come from the CEO’s account, but were in fact sent by bad actors.
“We value our relationship and believe that it’s important to be transparent and to keep you informed,” the statement informing of the hack read.
Stakelogic went on to note that the incident was resolved, and that only email contact details, including “names of contacts and/or (business) names of the contacts” had been accessed.
The supplier emphasised that no sensitive or confidential information had been accessed or compromised via the incident.
The update continued: “Stakelogic takes ownership of this situation and is actively taking actions and investigating this to prevent it from happening again in the future.”
The firm also stressed the importance of apply caution to “unexpected emails” claiming to come from Van den Oetelaar, adding not to click links or open attachments that appear suspicious.
