Stake opens new hub in Bogotá following Betfair Colombia acquisition
Operator plans to add 50 staff to Latam office by the end of the year as plans confirmed for further expansion on the continent

Stake has opened a new office in Bogotá ahead of plans to recruit more than 50 staff across Latin America by the end of 2024.
The crypto-first giant has inaugurated the hub in Colombia’s capital city after acquiring Betfair Colombia from Flutter in November in an undisclosed deal.
The firm now operates the stake.com.co site in the country and holds a licence there through to 2025.
The operator has also confirmed plans to further branch out across the continent, having secured market-access agreements in Mexico and Paraguay.
Stake has also applied for a licence in Peru and has partnered with TG Lab to secure a platform to go live in the market.
The operator, which forms part of Easygo’s portfolio alongside streaming site Kick, Carrot Gaming, Twist Gaming and Massive Gaming, has gone from strength to strength since launch.
On the opening of the hub, Brais Pena Sánchez, Easygo chief strategy officer, said: “We are thrilled to reaffirm our dedication to Latin America with the launch of our Bogotá hub.
“Latin America represents a burgeoning market for the online gaming industry, and our presence in Bogotá positions us to better serve our expanding player base in the region.”
Diana Otálora, Stake Latam GM, added: “Our objective is to bring the thrill of our gaming platforms to players across Latin America. With the launch of our Bogotá hub, we are poised to deliver exceptional gaming experiences and foster enduring connections with our players.”
In February, Stake was named as the title sponsor for the Alfa Romeo F1 team on a two-year deal which has seen the team rebranded as the Stake F1 Team.
CEO and co-founder Ed Craven sat down with EGR to explain the rationale behind the move and also divulge his thoughts on the opportunities in Latam.
