Stake-linked Kick poaches leading gambling streamer from Twitch
Challenger brand also snaps up star female streamer Amouranth as Easygo-owned brand splashes the cash

Kick, the streaming platform owned by Stake tech developer Easygo, has shaken up the streaming world after poaching two of Twitch’s leading streamers.
The site, which boasted breaking the one million user mark after just 69 days, has continued to grow in stature since its launch.
Kick previously made headlines after poaching prominent Twitch star Tyler Faraz Niknam aka ‘Trainwreck’in December, who was hugely popular due to his gambling streams.
Twitch banned unregulated operators from appearing on its platform, including Stake and Roobet, which hampered some of its major streamers’ content.
Now, Kick has moved for another major gambling streamer in the shape of Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel on a reported $100m, two-year, non-exclusive contract.
Lengyel has previously swapped his stance on gambling streaming in the past, having both backed the practice and calling for Twitch to remove it.
Kick also allows those firms which are banned from Twitch, such as Stake, to be broadcast across its platform.
Elsewhere, the streaming challenger has also added Kaitlyn Siragusa, aka ‘Amouranth’, to its roster. Amouranth boasts more than 6.4 million followers on Twitch.
While Amouranth is not a gambling streamer, the double move for two of Twitch’s leading stars by its rival marks a shift in the pull of Kick.
The platform also boasts far more attractive revenue split agreements than Twitch, and also allows streamers to keep 100% of viewer donations.
