Spreadex allows replica Sunderland kits without front-of-shirt branding
Spread betting and sports betting operator commits to initiative following “collaborative discussions” with the club last season

Spreadex will allow Sunderland fans to buy replica home kits without the firm’s front-of-shirt branding for the 2024-25 season.
The St Albans-based operator has served as the Black Cats’ principal partner since 2022 and will remain as the front-of-shirt partner for the men’s side for this campaign.
Replica kits for children will continue to feature Utilita Energy as the front-of-shirt sponsor, the club also confirmed.
However, following what the Championship side described as “collaborative discussions” with the operator last season, fans will be able to buy kits without the Spreadex logo emblazoned on the front.
I haven't bought a new football shirt for about 15 years, but this is a really good move and I'm all in for this one. We're in blank cheque territory, here. #SAFC https://t.co/PSDm2O6umn

A club statement read: “The club’s principal partner recognises that for some people gambling can become a problem, and they continue to be committed to providing safe and responsible gambling within a regulated environment.”
The initial three-year deal between Spreadex and Sunderland is set to expire at the end of next season.
Andy MacKenzie, Spreadex head of marketing, said: “We have a fantastic relationship with the club and were only too happy to work on making some replica kits available to fans without our logo on the front.
“We appreciate some supporters may want the choice of having non-branded shirts to buy and are delighted to have been able to help make this happen.
“We look forward to continuing our support for the club and fans with this initiative and in growing the partnership with continued competitions and giveaways to supporters throughout the season,” he added.
