Sportsbet.io confirms UK launch
Coingaming’s flagship sportsbook brand to go live in the UK under a white label licence from TGP Europe

Cryptocurrency betting operator Sportsbet.io will launch its first UK-facing sportsbook site tomorrow, EGR Intel has learned.
Sportsbet.io, flagship sportsbook brand of Tallinn-based The Coingaming Group, will go live in the UK market on 19 June on a white label licence from The Gaming Platform (TGP Europe) via the Isle of Man.
UK customers will not be able to bet with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum as the Sportsbetio.uk licence only covers traditional fiat currencies.
The UK launch will allow Sportsbet.io to market its brand in the UK under Gambling Commission guidelines, including the recently-announced sponsorship of Premier League side Watford.

Sportsbet.io had been in discussions with Southampton and Championship side Leeds United, but Watford were the best fit according to Coingaming CEO Tim Heath.
“They worked at our speed and they have similar values to us which is really important,” said Heath. “We don’t want to just be a faceless billboard like some others in the league.”
TGP powers several other firms to have agreed Premier League partnerships, including Everton shirt sponsor SportPesa and Newcastle United front-of-shirt partner, Fun88.
