Sportradar announces the acquisition of Vaix
Global sports technology company adds AI brand to its online sportsbook offering

Sports technology company Sportradar has successfully completed the acquisition of long-standing tech partner Vaix Limited.
A pioneer in developing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions specifically designed for the igaming industry, Vaix has worked with Sportradar since 2018 and will now offer its advanced player insights and tailored betting recommendations under the same corporate umbrella going forward.
In the past, Sportradar has incorporated Vaix’s technology into its Managed Trading Services (MTS) offering, with this helping betting operators simplify their trading, risk, live odds and liability calculations to boost profit margins while also improving overall risk management and efficiency.
Having now acquired the company, Sportradar will use Vaix’s AI-based data analytics to provide Sportradar operators with a more personalised view of their customers, allowing them to offer a targeted, player-friendly experience that recommends bets based on future value and churn probability.
Founded by John O’Malia and Andreas Hartmann in 2016, Vaix has already fed over 60 billion transactions into its AI to provide tier-one, two and three operators and platforms in multiple continents with detailed customer insights and suggestions on how to maximise their value based on user preferences.
The brand has earned particular prominence in the legalised US betting market, where its advanced data plays a pivotal role in helping brands compete for customers.
Speaking of the acquisition of Vaix, Paolo Personeni, managing director of managed betting services (MBS) at Sportradar, said: “Vaix products with their AI and algorithms are now being natively integrated as part of the Sportradar Sportsbook platform, enhancing our data analytics, promotions system and player personalisation. All MBS customers will now enjoy a faster and simplified integration.”
Hartmann, co-founder and CEO at Vaix, added: “Fully joining forces with Sportradar is recognition of the power of Vaix’s technology and a dream come true for our vision to bring AI to the entire gaming industry. Vaix’s capabilities can provide all of Sportradar’s operators with the power to truly personalise their offering, marketing and CRM as they seek to attract and engage players.”
At the time of writing, the full terms of the acquisition have not yet been disclosed.
