Sportingtech adds new chief people officer from GAN
Claire Bailiss joins supplier after more than seven years with GAN as she is reunited with former colleague Tom Ustunel at the top of the business

Sportingtech has appointed former GAN head Claire Bailiss as the supplier’s new chief people officer.
Bailiss joins the group from GAN after more than seven years of service between November 2016 and March 2024.
She originally joined the B2B and B2C firm as head of HR before being named HR director for Europe in March 2021.
The new Sportingtech exec also spent time with Ask.com as a HR business partner for almost four years as well as a near-decade-long stint with broadcasting firm Turner in a HR capacity.
Sportingtech said the group had introduced the chief people officer role due to “enhance its positive working environment and boost employee satisfaction”.
Bailiss will be responsible for putting schemes in place to attract and retain talent, as well as oversee professional development programmes.
The exec will also develop the company’s HR strategies and policies while focusing on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
Speaking on her appointment, Bailiss said: “People are at the heart of what makes Sportingtech so successful, which is why I am delighted to join this brilliant company as CPO.
“I will look forward to working with new and existing members of the Sportingtech team as they share in the company’s achievements and build on its continued growth.”
Tom Ustunel, Sportingtech CEO, added: “I am delighted to officially welcome Claire as our new chief people officer. Claire has been successfully building high-performing teams and fostering positive environments for more than two decades.
“Our brilliant team is our strongest asset and, under Claire’s leadership, we look forward to strengthening our position as one of the industry’s best employers.”
Ustunel, himself a former GAN head, joined Sportingtech as CEO in January to replace former MD Bobby Longhurst who departed in October 2023.
