Sport Generate CEO leaves role after nearly two years
Simon Westbury steps down as Digitain subsidiary chief after five-year career with the wider parent company

Sport Generate CEO Simon Westbury is set to step down from his role with the Digitain subsidiary, bringing an end to his five-and-a-half-year association with the Armenian supplier.
The exec held the role since for nearly two years after he transitioned over from the Digitain parent company.
Sport Generate provides live gaming and odds products as it delivers betting content from its in-house hosted esports tournaments.
Westbury first joined Digitain as head of international development in June 2019.
After shifting to head of sales in January 2020, he eventually moved up to chief business officer (CBO) a year later before becoming Sport Generate CEO in January 2023.
Westbury also oversaw the opening of a brand new Digitain office space in Romania that same month.
Before Digitain, Westbury spent four years at supplier VSoftCo from February 2015 to January 2019.
There, he served as sales director from February 2015 to August 2017 before being promoted to chief commercial officer between August 2017 and January 2019.
Touching on his departure on LinkedIn, Westbury wrote: “There is a saying in Armenia there is no good without bad and no bad without good.
“As CBO of Digitain and CEO of Sport Generate, the last half of a decade has been more than a job, it has been an all-consuming passion where the good memories have definitely outweighed the bad, coupled with unparalleled success.
“The [motif] of my time has been momentum, in achieving momentum, I always tried to instil belief in my colleagues, empowering them to make decisions whilst removing barriers for them to do their jobs.”
A Sport Generate statement said: “As Simon Westbury concludes his remarkable journey with Digitain and SportGenerate, we take a moment to celebrate the huge impact he has made.
“His visionary leadership and strategic insights have been pivotal in driving our growth, innovation and success.
“Simon’s dedication and commitment have set a high standard, and we are immensely grateful for everything he has achieved.”
