Slots Tracker: NetEnt splits Pragmatic Play duopoly in February

NetEnt’s Starburst pushed back in February’s edition of the EGR Slots Tracker to split the duopoly of Pragmatic Play at the top of the table.

While Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza held onto top spot, Starburst swapped places with Big Bass Splash to jump into second place.

The chasing pack of Pragmatic Play titles – Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus and Sugar Rush – held onto their January places for another month.

NetEnt had a February to remember as Fruit Shop broke into the top 10 titles after landing in eighth from a January finish of 15^th, while Pragmatic Play’s Chilli Heat moved from 16^th to 10^th.

In a surprising move, one of the ranking’s former leading slots, in the shape of Play’n GO’s Book of Dead, fell out of the top 20 completely after finishing in 11^th in January.

Big movers in February included Playtech’s Silent Samurai Mega Cash Collect, which rose a huge 166 places to end the month in 15^th.

Fellow Playtech title Queen of the Pyramids Mega Cash Collect also broke into the top 20, finishing in 18^th place after moving up 11 places.

Reel Kingdom’s Big Bass Amazon Extreme was another debutant in the rankings, after rising from 26^th to 19^th.

Elsewhere, analysed data revealed the top-ranking new slots released since 1 December 2023.

Pragmatic Play’s Blade and Fangs took the top spot in February following its 4 January release.

Stablemate Blazing Wilds Megaways (5 January release) and 5 On The Farm Rush Express by Area Vegas Games (15 January release) took the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the new games rankings.

Red Tiger’s Redline Rush was the title with the latest release date (8 February) to secure a spot in the top 20.

In January 2023, EGR added a new data partner, eGaming Monitor (EGM), to track casino sites and help collate the monthly rankings.

EGM tracks game pages of more than 3,000 casino sites globally, with the European charts being based on the number of game tiles found for each game across operator sites in regulated markets.

EGM limits its tracking to just the main casino homepage of each site, with the tracker taking in slots, instants, scratch cards, slingo and crash games but excluding table games, live games, video poker, video bingo and others.

In February, EGM tracked 13,623 games from 408 studios in 29 European regulated markets including the UK, Italy, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands.
