Sky Gaming promotes from within for new managing director
Davnet Reid replaces Andrew Rushgrove who will take on a new challenge within the Flutter Entertainment group

Davnet Reid has replaced Andrew Rushgrove as managing director for Sky Gaming.
Reid first arrived at the firm in December 2018 as head of commercial planning. Staying in that role for one year and 11 months, she then became marketing and commercial director for sports in November 2020.
Holding that position until her promotion to MD at the start of February, Reid’s move to Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) was her first inroad into the industry, having worked previously in the retail and financial services sectors at furniture chain DFS and UK-based online bank First Direct, among others.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Reid said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as managing director, Sky Gaming. Big shoes to fill following Andrew Rushgrove, but very excited to get started.”
Rushgrove, who leaves for SBG’s parent company Flutter Entertainment to work on commercial transformation on its UK and Ireland brands, said the decision to leave was “bittersweet” but one he needed to make.
He said: “I’m leaving a role that I love, and it’s a bittersweet decision to move on, but one that I needed to take to continue learning and challenging myself.
“When I took the MD role, I had two aims: to [make [Sky Gaming] the number one online gaming operator in the UK and to create an environment that is the best place our colleagues have ever worked.
“I’m not sure I achieved either! Time will tell. But it’s been a blast trying to achieve them! It’s all about the climb, some say.”
Rushgrove continued: “I’m incredibly proud of the culture we have built in the Sky Gaming tribe during my tenure. Every member of the team has lent in and shaped how we behave and act. And it’s been incredibly special to be part of it. What a tribe! I feel very lucky to have led these talented colleagues. Thank you.
“Commercially, I leave the business over a third bigger than when I took over it, with more growth planned in 2024. There have certainly been some bumps in the road, but we built a strategy (the gameplan) and we have executed it again and again,” he added.
