
Sky Betting & Gaming adds new director of product
Gail Parker to oversee tech developments in new role having previously worked with Sky and Manchester City


Sky Betting & Gaming (SBG) has appointed former Manchester City digital head Gail Parker as the operator’s new director of product and UX.
Parker joins SBG from Leeds-based digital consultancy and transformation firm AND Digital where she served as a product principle since June 2019.
Parker previously spent four years with Sky across a series of tech roles, initially as head of digital capability before being named director of digital transformation for Sky Deutschland.
She had a brief spell with Premier League champions Manchester City as head of digital, which was sandwiched between her first stint with Sky and a later stint as head of web platform, design and UX with Sky Sports.
Parker joins the Flutter Entertainment brand following the departure of SBG director of technology Mark Joyce.
Joyce held three roles in his time at the Leeds-based firm, originally joining as head of delivery for the gaming division in July 2016.
He was promoted to delivery director in July 2019 before becoming director of technology for Sky Bet in November 2020.
Elsewhere, Flutter Entertainment has begun a consultation process on as many as 200 voluntary staff redundancies across its UK & Ireland business, EGR has learned.
