Sky Betting and Gaming names new CEO as Stars takeover approved
Ian Proctor takes over from Richard Flint who assumes the new role of executive chairman

Sky Betting and Gaming (SBG) has named Ian Proctor as its new CEO, as part of a major management restructuring following CMA approval of its takeover by The Stars Group.
Proctor takes over the top job at SBG from Richard Flint effective immediately, with Flint becoming executive chairman of the company. Proctor was formerly CFO at SBG.
Both executives will report into Stars Group CEO Rafi Ashkenazi.
“I am looking forward to helping shape the next chapter of growth for SBG as part of The Stars Group,” said Flint.
“I am confident that the new management structure, which includes an operational board for SBG, will allow us to maintain our unique culture that has delivered success over the years and continue delivering market share gains in the UK online betting and gaming market, building on our position as the UK’s most popular online betting brand.”
Flint has been with SBG for nearly 16 years and has served as CEO for the last ten.
As part of the reshuffle, Conor Grant has also been appointed as COO of SBG, having previously served as director of SBG’s gaming brands. Grant will report into Proctor.
Following CMA approval today, Stars said the integration of the two businesses would begin immediately, starting with the appointment of Andy Burton as senior vice-president, global sports platform, at Stars.
Burton was formerly CTO at SBG.
Vaughan Lewis was also named group director of investor relations and corporate communications.
