SKS365 gains on bet365 in Italian online betting rankings
Italian market figures for online betting in May are much closer than early 2019 figures
Bet365 has topped the rankings for Italian online sports betting in May as the operator’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) hit €7.6m, narrowly pipping closest competitor SKS365.
Rome-based SKS365 finished just behind with GGR of €7.5m, an improvement on February’s figures, while Snaitech (€6.8m), Sisal (€5.5m) and Goldbet (€4.8m) rounded out a closely-contested top five.
Bet365 also boasted a market-high 13.6% share of GGR from 24 Italian gaming operators, from SKS365 (13.3%) in second position, to Marathonbet (0.04%) at the bottom of the rankings.
The Stoke-headquarted operator did however dominate the rankings for turnover last month after taking in €189.9m working on a margin of 4%, way out in front Eurobet who brought in €58m.
Bet365 enjoyed 30.4% of market share as a percentage of turnover in May, once again ahead of Eurobet (9.3%), Sniatech (8.7%), SKS365 (8.6%) and Sisal (7.5%).
Overall GGR for Italy’s 18 biggest online betting operators totalled €51m last month.
