SkillOnNet launches trio of online casino brands in Ontario

SkillOnNet has officially launched three of its online casino brands in Ontario, with the igaming operator and software solutions provider rolling out PlayOJO, SlotsMagic, and SpinGenie in the burgeoning Canadian online gaming market.

Based in Malta, SkillOnNet gained approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) in May to offer its products in the newly legalized province.

PlayOJO, SlotsMagic, and SpinGenie were each granted one-year licenses that expire on May 1, 2023, adding to a SkillOnNet licensure portfolio that spans from Mexico to multiple countries throughout Western Europe.

“Ontario is a really exciting opportunity and we’re thrilled to be part of this new regulatory space and see immense potential to drive company growth,” said SkillOnNet sales and marketing director Michael Golembo.

“We’d like to thank the gaming commission for their due diligence and also for really understanding the value SkillOnNet can bring to this market.”

While all three brands are igaming-focused, each presents a differentiated experience for users.

PlayOJO touts itself as the ‘fair casino’ requiring no minimum or maximum withdrawal, SlotsMagic boasts a diversified library of over 3,500 games, and SpinGenie offers daily slot tournaments as part of its suite of titles.

“We provide a network of the most popular online casino brands across Europe, and it’s a joy to be able to showcase our games to Ontarians and engage with our new customers in the province,” Golembo said.

Since legalized online gaming and sports betting went live in Ontario in early April, a who’s who of the most prominent US and European operators have expanded into the province, including FanDuel, BetMGM, PointsBet, bet365 and, most recently, DraftKings.

With a population of 14.5 million and a longstanding gray market, the regulated Ontario market is projected to grow to over $2bn in revenue in the coming years.
