SBTech brings Georgian casino online
Casino Iveria described as one of largest land-based operators in former Soviet republic.
Gibraltar-based software provider Sports Betting Technology (SBTech) has signed a deal to provide Georgia-based Casino Iveria with its online betting solution.
The exclusive deal represents the first move online for the casino, which SBTech describes as “One of the largest land-based casino operator[s]” in the former Soviet republic.
It is the second launch from SBTech targeting the Eastern European market, following its provision of a sportsbook offering for Russian-facing Red Star Poker last December.
SBTech has also signed a number of other deals since appointing Itai Zak as CEO last August, one of the most recent being January’s agreement to supply Betshop with a live betting solution.
Zak said of the deal: “SBTech’s advanced live betting and pre-match products combined with its innovative package of turnkey services, which includes risk management and trading room facilities, is especially suited for the regulated Georgian marketplace, and strengthens its position as a leading supplier for regulated markets in general.”
Casino Iveria head of operations Temur Lomadze said SBTech “ticks all the boxes” for the casino, explaining: “We have been looking for a professional partner who would not only enable us to extend our land-based business into the online and mobile mediums, but also has an extensive understanding of the nature of the land-based business from our perspective.”
