Rush Street Interactive solves Pennsylvania iOS woes with geolocation app integration
PlaySugarHouse users will be redirected to GeoComply’s GeoGuard app to set up location tracking services

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has become the first operator to let Pennsylvania customers bet via their iOS devices thanks to a new geolocation solution.
After a player registers on their mobile devices at PlaySugarHouse.com, they will be directed to download GeoComply’s GeoGuard Location Validator from the Apple App Store that will enable RSI to confirm players are located within of Pennsylvania when they access the site through their mobile browsers, such as Safari or Google Chrome.
Once a player has completed the process, they never have to return to the GeoGuard app but instead can place mobile bets directly at PlaySugarHouse.com.

iPhone users can now access RSI’s PlaySugarHouse site via mobile web
The workaround is needed as SugarHouse was forced to launched in May without an iOS app, thanks to Apple’s changing guidelines on betting apps.
RSI president Richard Schwartz said: “As we launch our casino site today, we are excited to offer Apple users a way to enjoy the innovative experiences we offer by betting from their mobile devices in Pennsylvania.”
“We are thrilled to be able to offer loyal users with Apple devices, such as iPhones, a way to get online and begin playing on our award-winning platform,” Shwartz said.
Since online betting launched in June, three of the eight licensed operators have rolled out sites. Rush Street is also the first to have worked out a solution for iOS users, with around 47% of US mobile devices using iOS.
Rush Street Interactive (RSI), Penn National and Parx are the only operators to have launched online gaming sites since it went live this month.
