Rush Street Interactive promotes from within for VP of igaming appointment
Illinois-headquartered operator rewards Zachary Salem after more than two years as director of casino and sportsbook experience

Rush Street Interactive (RSI) has promoted Zachary Salem to become the operator’s new VP of igaming.
Salem takes up the role after nearly three years with the firm, having originally joined RSI in November 2019 as director of casino and sportsbook experience.
Before joining RSI, Salem spent just under five years with DGN Games, first as a game designer before becoming director of product management.
Salem became head of slots in 2016 before his final promotion at DGN Games to VP of game design in March 2019.
Salem’s other industry roles include a three year stint at SG Interactive as the firm’s senior principal product intelligence manager.
He also spent under four years with WMS Gaming as a senior QA mathematician and principal QA mathematician.
Salem shared the news of his promotion on LinkedIn, saying, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President of igaming at Rush Street Interactive”.
Earlier this month, RSI launched its RushBet online casino and sportsbook in the Mexican market. This followed the signing of a 25-year partnership deal between RSI and Grupo Multimedios.
RSI’s launch in Mexico followed on from its sportsbook debut in West Virginia in June.
RSI has also recently agreed a deal with Austria-based responsible gambling software provider Neccton to see its software rolled across the BetRivers sportsbooks and the PlaySugarHouse sites and all of RSI’s operations across the US and Ontario.
