Rightlander promotes from within for new CEO
Ex-Income Access and GeoComply head Sarafina Wolde Gabriel has been handed the reins as founder dubs her “the ideal leader”

Affiliate compliance company Rightlander has appointed Sarafina Wolde Gabriel as its new CEO, 16 months after she joined the business.
Wolde Gabriel boasts just shy of 20 years’ worth of experience within the affiliate compliance and monitoring industry, having joined Rightlander from GeoComply in April 2023 as chief strategy officer (CSO).
While serving as CSO, Wolde Gabriel oversaw significant growth as well as Rightlander’s expansion into new markets.
She has also been an integral figure when it comes to bolstering the firm’s product offerings and strengthening key partnerships, all of which has contributed to her rise up the ranks.
Before joining Rightlander, Wolde Gabriel spent just over a year as GeoComply’s senior director of global markets between January 2022 and March 2023.
Wolde Gabriel previously spent more than 17 years at the now Paysafe-owned Income Access.
Over the course of the near 18-year stint that started in April 2004, she held a number of titles, including five years as affiliate manager and nine years as chief marketing officer (CMO).
Paysafe acquired Income Access in September 2016 in a deal worth C$40m, with Wolde Gabriel then stepping up to become vice-president of strategy.
Rightlander founder Ian Sims heaped praise on Wolde Gabriel, declaring: “We are thrilled to have Sarafina step into the role of CEO.
“Her extensive experience and understanding of the industry make her the ideal leader to continue advancing our mission of providing cutting-edge compliance solutions.
“We are confident that under her leadership, Rightlander will continue to thrive and set new standards in affiliate compliance.”
Wolde Gabriel expressed her delight at being handed the reins, before outlining the company’s targets during her tenure as she added: “I am honoured to take on the role of CEO at such an exciting time for Rightlander.
“I look forward to working with our talented team to build on our successes and drive further innovation in our solutions.
“Together, we will continue to support our clients in navigating the complexities of affiliate compliance and achieving their business goals.”
Rightlander boasts some of gambling’s biggest operators as clients, including bet365 and Kindred Group.
