Rhino Entertainment Group appoints former Hero Gaming chief as COO
David Borg links up with former colleague Marie Theobald as fallout from Hero Gaming reshuffle continues

Rhino Entertainment Group has hired David Borg as its new chief operations officer (COO).
Borg joins Rhino after less than six months after being appointed COO by Hero Gaming. The Malta-based operator enacted a mass restructure at the firm which saw it CEO depart after just 10 months and around 50% of the group’s workforce leave.
In total, Borg spent just under three years at Hero Gaming, originally joining as head of payment product in May 2020 before being made head of operations in April 2021.
Borg was finally appointed as COO in September 2022.
Before joining Hero Gaming, Borg spent more than three years with ComeOn Group across a series of payments and fraud roles, while he cut his teeth in the igaming industry at Paddy Power Betfair as a fraud analyst.
Borg will join a former colleague at Rhino Entertainment Group, Marie Theobald, who joined the firm in September 2022 to become its chief people officer.
Theobold spent nearly five years at Hero Gaming as its chief people officer.
