Report: FanDuel soft launches new AI-powered chat feature
AceAI is currently available to 1% of FanDuel customers, allowing users to collate historical data and also build bets via generative AI

FanDuel has launched a new AI-powered tool, AceAI, that will populate betslips and provide insights and data to consumers in what the operator has heralded as an industry first.
As per Forbes, the Flutter-owned operator has pushed AceAI out to a handful of FanDuel customers, with the generative AI tool being used to both inform decisions behind bets and create them.
AceAI aims to provide users with all the relevant data and statistics required as they put together their wagers.
Built into the FanDuel Sportsbook app, users can submit text or voice requests into the chat feature, before being provided with information designed to assist when constructing bet builders and placing bets.
AceAI can also create betslips for users. For example, a customer can ask the AI tool to build them a bet builder with certain legs, including player props, before AceAI generates the bet which users can then edit or accept.
Jon Sadow, FanDuel vice-president of product transformation and innovation, told Forbes: “As the leading sportsbook we think there’s an opportunity for us to set the pace on what experiences should look like for customers.
“We are in a position as a market leader to have a tremendous amount of data that we can actually put into customers’ hands that empower them to make educated decisions.”
Since joining FanDuel in October 2024 from the carpool software platform he founded, Scoop Technologies, Sadow has been at the forefront of developing AceAI.
The tool has been soft launched to 1% of FanDuel customers, who will be able to use it on the NFL and NBA, though expansion into other sports is expected.
AceAI can also assist FanDuel’s in its responsible gambling (RG) efforts, the operator added.
A user that has submitted prompts that suggest they are showing signs of problem gambling will be detected by the tool, which will direct the bettor to FanDuel’s directory of RG services.
The product will also notify FanDuel staff of the user in question’s betting habits.
An example from Forbes stated that if a user told AceAI it was “looking for a winner tonight”, this would flag the FanDuel RG system.
Sadow added: “Everything we build is making sure that we are not only mindful, but supportive of responsible gambling.”
Posting on LinkedIn, he wrote: “One of the very first projects that got me excited after joining FanDuel was what the team was building to bring AI-powered chat to bettors.
“There was a ton of momentum in place, and we’ve continued to accelerate that as we push the boundaries of what the sports betting experience can and should be: easier, faster and more informed.”
In other RG news, FanDuel noted last month that nearly 50% of its customers used the operator’s My Spend dashboard over the course of the 2024-25 NFL season.
Approximately 3.5 million FanDuel bettors reviewed their playing habits via the platform that enables users to see personal statistics, such as the amount deposited and net winnings over the last seven days, four weeks or three months.
