Report: 6686.com illegally streaming football matches
Operator reportedly streaming action from top European football leagues despite not paying for the rights

Asia-facing operator 6686.com is allegedly illegally streaming Premier League matches on its website, according to an investigation by Josimar.
The online sportsbook and casino is reportedly offering the ability to watch live games via its Chinese website, where users can use a VPN (virtual private network) and by switching to Hong Kong, can view games from several different football leagues across Europe.
These include the aforementioned Premier League, as well as the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and Dutch Eredivisie.
Streams also originate from broadcasters including Telemundo, Setanta and Arena Sport in a direct contravention of piracy laws.
According to the report, the games being streamed are also using the “raw international video feeds” of football games and is also showing other sports including baseball, tennis and basketball.
The operator currently sponsors top-flight English side Wolverhampton Wanderers and is the official betting partner of Lazio, AS Monaco and Wolfsburg.
In the UK, 6686.com redirects to 6686sports.com.
6686sports.com has a UK licence granted by the Gambling Commission (GC) via white label company TGP Europe.
The GC said to EGR in a statement: “We do not talk about individual cases.
“We expect all operators to carry out due diligence on any third parties it engages with. Earlier this year we took enforcement action against an operator because of failings including ineffective policies and procedures in relation to due diligence undertaken prior to white label agreements.
“If we become aware of any proven copyright failings relating to overseas websites not targeted at consumers in Great Britain we would also alert relevant authorities in other jurisdictions.
“We regulate TGP Europe Limited and its provision of the website www.6686sports.co.uk,” it concluded.
EGR has also approached 6686.com for comment.
