Rank Group reshuffles management pack following Stride acquisition
Former Stride execs to head up Rank Interactive business following merger

Former Stride Gaming CEO Eitan Boyd and COO Darren Sims will lead a new Interactive division at Rank Group following the operator’s recent acquisition of Stride.
Boyd has been named managing director of the new Interactive arm and Sims as operations director.
In their new roles, Boyd and Sims will be responsible for implementing the migration of existing online assets onto Stride’s proprietary technology platform and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Rank’s UK digital strategy.
It follows receipt of approval from the UK Gambling Commission, together with the cessation of trading in Stride Gaming shares on the London Stock Exchange’s alternative investment market (AIM) last Friday.
The cancellation of Stride’s listing on the AIM took effect at 8am this morning.
Speaking about the completion of the £115m deal, Rank Group CEO John O’Reilly said it was a “significant” day in the life of the Rank Group.
“This acquisition delivers a proprietary technology platform and highly experienced team which will accelerate the transformation of Rank and create one of the UK’s leading online gaming businesses.
“Our focus now turns to ensuring we successfully integrate Stride into Rank and realise the potential of our new enlarged digital business,” O’Reilly added.
Former Stride CEO Eitan Boyd said he was “thrilled” the acquisition had finally completed, expressing his wish to get started in his new role as Rank Interactive MD as soon as possible.
