PrizePicks adds new executive muscle amid NFL season growth
Daily fantasy sports operator recruits new COO, creative director, and HR-facing SVP

PrizePicks has strengthened its executive team with a trio of new hires as the new NFL season kicks on for the Atlanta-based daily fantasy sports (DFS) firm.
The firm has appointed former WebMD chief operating officer Chris Hackney as its new COO, along with former FanDuel partnerships and sportsbook art director Chip Singh as executive creative director.
Also joining PrizePicks is human resources veteran Amy Perrault, who joins the firm as senior vice-president of human operations.
Hackney has previously worked for diverse organizations including Cision, TrendKite, Oracle, and the Coca-Cola Company. He waxed lyrical about the potential of his new role.
“The opportunity to apply my experiences in scaling SaaS [software as a service] businesses to a vibrant sports entertainment platform is a thrilling challenge,” Hackney said.
“Adam [Wexler, PrizePicks CEO] continues to recruit and build a world-class team, and I’m excited to be a part of what lies ahead,” he added.
With a background in graphic design, Singh joins PrizePicks from American Express, where he served as both an experiential design lead and associate creative director in the credit card company’s design department.
A 20-year veteran of HR, and former executive with General Electric, Perrault has spent the last six years as an independent consultant, focused primarily on change management and project management.
The appointments come amid record growth at PrizePicks, with over 200,000 unique PrizePicks members placing an NFL real money entry during the first two weeks of the NFL season.
PrizePicks was also recently named as the ‘fastest-growing sports company’ and 66th fastest growing private company overall as part of the 2022 Inc. 5,000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America list.
Adam Wexler, PrizePicks CEO, highlighted the experiential benefits of adding the trio of new executives to the PrizePicks team.
“The addition of these three seasoned executives reflect our direction as a company as we continue to diversify our platform, expand our brand equity, and increase our headcount,” he explained.
“The fact that they’re joining us at one of the most exciting times of our year just enhances the momentum,” Wexler added.
