“Product visionary” Hampus Eriksson tasked with overseeing gaming operator’s expansion into new markets and sports betting

PressEnter Group has bolstered its senior management team with the unveiling of Hampus Eriksson as the operator’s new chief product officer (CPO).
The Malta-based business, which is responsible for six online casino brands including 21.com and RapidCasino, described Eriksson as a “product visionary” and “one of the most experienced product experts” in the sector.
In his new role the Swede will be responsible for accelerating PressEnter Group’s expansion into new markets and new verticals. This push includes the rollout out of sports betting earmarked for later this year.
Eriksson, who first entered the industry in 2006, joins after seven months of running the consultancy firm he co-founded, Real Rush AB.
Prior to this, he was CPO of ComeOn! Group for more than two years following similar roles at Swedish supplier NetEnt and Evoke Gaming.
Lahcene Merzoug, CEO at PressEnter Group, said: “In Hampus we have one of the most experienced and talented product leaders and he is absolutely the right candidate to drive forward with our ambitious plans to enter new markets and expand into sports betting.
“We are determined to become a true market leader and understand the importance of having a compelling product in order to achieve this. Hampus will help us to reach the next level and deliver a player experience like no other.”
Meanwhile, Eriksson commented: “PressEnter Group has been on an incredible journey over the past few years, and I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time for the business.
Last month, PressEnter Group – formerly known as Betpoint Group – appointed ex-Tipico finance director Qurban Hussain as CFO.
Earlier in January, David Plumi was recruited from Betsson to oversee PressEnter Group’s expansion into Spain and Latam.
