Pragmatic Play expands live casino operations in Bulgaria
Casino content provider opens new Sofia-based studio to cater for increased operator demand

Pragmatic Play has announced that it will be launching a new state-of-the-art live casino studio in Bulgaria as the brand looks to expand its corporate footprint and meet the increasing demand from operators for its games.
Although best known for its extensive range of over 250 video slots, the company has entered other key verticals in recent times including bingo, virtual sports and sportsbook and will now double down on its offering by increasing the number of live dealer titles that it’s able to offer to casino platforms.
Games to be broadcast from the high-tech Sofia-based location will include blackjack, roulette and all of Pragmatic Play’s other staple live casino products, offering an immersive experience to players. All titles will be streamed in full HD using 4k cameras and will feature the latest in leading audio technology.
The new studio will see Pragmatic Play hire over 2,000 people to add to its Bulgarian talent pool by the end of 2023 and follows on from the establishment of its first live casino location in Bucharest in 2019 as well as two corporate hubs in Serbia and Gibraltar. In that time, the group has also expanded its Malta office as it continues to deliver up to seven new titles per month.
Speaking of the launch of the company’s latest live casino facility, Irina Cornides, chief operating officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new Bulgarian location, right in the heart of the capital, Sofia.
“It’s an important step for us as we look to both expand the capacity of our live casino operations and work with the fantastic talent in Bulgaria. We’re proud of the strides made as a business since our inception, and this marks another exciting chapter for Pragmatic Play.”
