Poll: Is there enough innovation in mobile betting?
Former LeoVegas sportsbook head says mobile sportsbook market is “complacent” and lacking in innovation

Operators are constantly competing for the market share of mobile sports betting customers, particularly with mobile having become the leading channel for bettors.
Last week former LeoVegas sportsbook head, Andreas Bardun told EGR operators had failed to make the most of mobile sports betting.
“The market is very complacent and nobody is really changing to fit mobile- every company claims to be thinking about mobile and say they want to be mobile-first, but we haven’t really seen that kind of innovation,” Bardun added.
He argued that many firms simply put a version of their desktop sportsbook on mobile, which is arguably the case.
Of course we have also seen some smaller firms trying some innovative approaches. Bookee, for instance, brings the Tinder swiping approach to betting, and makes a unique use of a smartphone’s touchscreen.
BetBlocks is another firm trying new things, developing an app that recognised when betting topics are being discussed and offering odds and information on the topic of conversation.
With that in mind we want to know if operators are making full use of mobile devices, or simply bring desktop betting to a smaller screen.
