Chris Straghalis to take further control over the leading poker brand’s operations with latest promotion

PokerStars has appointed 18-year company veteran Chris Straghalis as its new director of online poker experience.
Straghalis has worked with the operator since 2004 and has held a series of senior roles during his time there.
He moves into his new position having served as director of poker product from May 2018, preceding his previous role as associate director of poker product from February 2017.
Straghalis has also held director and senior managerial roles across innovation, operations, management and marketing during his near-two decade spell with PokerStars.
He will continue to be based in the Isle of Man in his new role.
Speaking on his appointment, Straghalis said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as director of online poker experience at PokerStars.
“I will be responsible for product, game integrity and poker operations, everything that contributes to creating great online poker experiences for our players,” he added.
Earlier this week, PokerStars named long-term Flutter manager Stephen McMeel as its new director of product for its casino arm.
McMeel joins PokerStars following a stint as associate director of customer growth for Flutter Entertainment after spending almost 10 years with Paddy Power Betfair.
