PointsBet to recruit director of media partnerships as it explores further deals
New hire will work with NBC Sports and others on product, innovation and content integration

PointsBet is looking to hire a director of media partnership activation as it ramps up its search for new TV and digital partners.
The position will be based out of the operator’s Jersey City, New Jersey office and will lead the charge for establishing further partnerships with media outlets.
The role will involve working with media firms on creative development, product roadmap, innovation, and content creation and integration.
The job description asks for more than seven years of experience in media partnership activation with multi-platform companies and a working knowledge of the NBC Sports portfolio.
In September, the firm secured a five-year multi-platform deal with NBC Sports that will see its odds and branding integrated across the network’s different brands and channels.
The contract gives NBC a 4.9% equity stake in PointsBet alongside a commitment from the operator to spend $393m on marketing over five years.
But PointsBet US CEO Johnny Aitken recently told EGR NA the firm was looking to secure additional TV and digital media partnerships.
“This isn’t all of our spend, this is planned money that was always allocated to be invested in TV and digital and it’s now being directly funded into NBC,” Aitken said.
Elsewhere, the operator is hiring for a director of online casino as it prepares to roll out its in-house built igaming offering in New Jersey and Michigan once regulations are finalised.
The role will be based out of PointsBet’s Denver, Colorado tech hub and will report into chief innovation officer Seth Young.
