PointsBet on the prowl for new COO
Operator looking to expand executive team as 68 people apply for the role in two days
PointsBet is on the hunt for a new chief operating officer (COO) as the Australian operator seeks to bolsters its executive management team.
The firm is searching for an executive with at least five years’ experience in the online gambling industry as it aims to ramp up its presence in both Australia and the US.
The new COO will be based in London, Dublin or Melbourne, and will report directly into group MD and CEO Sam Swanell
They will be responsible for leading the operations teams, including the trading and customer services divisions, as well as working closely with IT and product.
The operator’s job post on LinkedIn features more than a dozen responsibilities for the COO role, including working with data and automation, managing relationships with external bodies and developing roadmaps across verticals.
The post reads: “As the business continues to experience significant growth, we are on the search for a talented chief operating officer to lead our operations teams, including the trading and customer service functions, while partnering closely with our IT and product departments. These teams play a major role in powering our business.
“Based in London, Dublin or Melbourne, you will be a core member of the global executive team, reporting directly to the group CEO. You’ll both contribute to, and help execute, our Australian and US strategies.”
The position has attracted 68 applications at the time of writing.
