PointsBet launches online casino in Pennsylvania market
Australian-headquartered operator debuts in Keystone State following prior sportsbook unveiling

PointsBet has launched its online casino product in the Pennsylvania market, following on from the launch of its mobile app and sports betting product in February.
In accordance with the requirements set out by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), a soft launch has been undertaken, with plans to proceed to a full operational launch within two days.
Pennsylvania marks the fourth state in which PointsBet offers its igaming platform, having debuted in its first operational market of Michigan in May 2021.
PointsBet also operates igaming in New Jersey and West Virginia. Its users in Pennsylvania will have access to games from IGT and Evolution.
PointsBet’s wholly owned subsidiary, PointsBet Pennsylvania, was awarded sports betting and interactive gaming operator licenses by the PGCB in January.
PointsBet VP of online casino revenue Aaron O’Sullivan highlighted the “few short months” following award of these licenses and launch date as a major benefit for the igaming and sportsbook operator.
“At PointsBet, we pride ourselves [on] our ability to not only deliver our users with the best-in-class sports betting product but [also] the best-in-class casino content as well – creating a holistic PointsBet user experience,” O’Sullivan added.
Elsewhere, PointsBet’s Canadian offshoot has signed a “comprehensive partnership” agreement with sporting oversight body US Integrity (USI).
The agreement represents the first USI client with operations based outside the US regulated market. Under the partnership, USI will provide integrity monitoring services to PointsBet Canada via its proprietary dashboard.
USI conducts analysis across dozens of data sets to proactively identify irregular betting patterns as well as questionable officiating in a variety of sports.
USI CEO and co-founder Matthew Holt highlighted the need to maintain integrity in sports, particularly in new markets.
“USI’s mission is to provide conflict-free, best-in-class insights and compliance solutions to our clients,” he explained.
“All our partners are committed to the highest integrity standards, and they [PointsBet] are no exception.
“These types of partnerships help ensure sports betting integrity and strengthen the unique and proprietary-anomaly detection tools we have developed at US Integrity,” Holt added.
