PointsBet eyes NBA gains with new basketball YouTube cast
MSG alum Kazeem Famuyide links up with sportsbook operator on new “Count It” review show

PointsBet has launched a new NBA and college basketball-geared podcast and YouTube show as the operator looks to attract new bettors to its sportsbook offering.
“Count It” it will be hosted by MSG Networks’ Kazeem Famuyide from the new PointsBet studio in New York City, and will air four times a week on YouTube and podcast platforms, with focused distribution on social media and the PointsBet app.
The show will drill down on news impacting both the NBA and college basketball, as well as provide analysis and betting picks.
“Count It” will be the third program created by PointsBet Studio, joining “The Straight Line” hosted by former NFL Quarterback, Ryan Leaf, and “Stoppage Time with Ian Joy,” the company’s soccer-focused production.
A new addition to the PointsBet brand, Famuyide has worked at sports-based organizations including The Springhill Company and The Ringer.
He has also held editorial positions at top publications and entities such as Bleacher Report, World Wrestling Entertainment, and The Source.
Speaking about his new role, Famuyide highlighted PointsBet’s content portfolio as a great inducement to link up with the sportsbook operator.
“Being able to talk about the sport I’m so passionate about with incredible guests and to do so against the backdrop of sports betting is next to none. I look forward to diving right in at the halfway point of the NBA season and begin prepping for March Madness,” Famuyide added.
In the period prior to Christmas, PointsBet ended its brand ambassador deal with Drew Brees, following the ex-NFL stars appointment as an interim assistant coach for the Purdue Boilermakers.
“Regulatory and legal compliance, responsible gaming practices, and the integrity of legal sports betting are top priorities for our organization and this decision will allow us to uphold that commitment,” PointsBet said in a statement.
Brees hit the headlines in December 2022 when a publicity video for PointsBet, in which he appeared to be struck by lightning, drew criticism from many corners of social media.
The video was later revealed to be a promotional stunt for the operator’s Lightning Bets in-play betting feature.
