PointsBet eyes Canadian and US gains with new partnerships
Sportsbook operator inks deal with Ottawa REDBLACKS amid new March Madness campaign featuring NBA star Carlos Boozer

PointsBet Canada has agreed a deal to become the official sportsbook provider of Canadian football side the Ottawa REDBLACKS.
The partnership will see the PointsBet Canada logo featured on all REDBLACKS’ jerseys for the forthcoming season, along with prominent branding at the club’s TD Stadium.
PointsBet Canada also becomes the new presenting sponsor of the PointsBet Sideline Club at TD Place.
PointsBet Canada CCO Nic Sulsky welcomed the agreement, coming ahead of the formal launch of the PointsBet Canada brand in the Ontario market on April 4.
“PointsBet Canada is committed to building an identity that acknowledges the little intricacies that make us all proud to be Canadian. Nothing says Canadian like three downs, a 55-yard line and the rouge,” Sulsky explained.
“We are excited to add a little bit more red and black to RNation for years to come!” he added.
Elsewhere, PointsBet US has added former NBA star Carlos Boozer to its marketing roster through a partnership with sports media and talent agency Playmaker, as part of a wider March Madness marketing push.
Under the terms of the deal, PointsBet sponsor content with Playmaker and Playmaker Betting throughout the NCAA’s March Madness tournament and beyond.
Former Chicago Bulls player Boozer has placed a $50,000 bet on Duke University to win the tournament and $600,000 with PointsBet.
PointsBet will also become the exclusive sponsor of Playmaker’s March Madness initiatives including Playmaker 16, Playmaker 8, and Playmaker 4 free-to-play games as well as “Playmaker On The Street”, a digital series hosted by Dakota Wiley, which is being filmed at many of the tournament locations including Buffalo, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, and New Orleans.
PointsBet US senior VP of content Liam Roecklein highlighted the benefits of working with Playmaker on the campaign.
“Working with Playmaker on the Carlos Boozer bet has given us a great perspective on the services they offer and the reach of their platforms,” Roecklein explained.
“They stand at the forefront of merging content, social influence, and technology, and we are excited to work together to broaden our exposure and find new audiences to promote the PointsBet brand,” he added.
