PMU recruits Antoine Griezmann as new horseracing brand ambassador
French operator strikes two-year marketing deal with 2018 World Cup winner

PMU has struck a deal with Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann to become the operator’s new horseracing brand ambassador.
The 2018 World Cup winner will become the face of PMU’s new marketing campaigns having signed a two-year deal with the state-owned company.
According to PMU, Griezmann’s passion for the sport responds to the operator’s values and DNA and he will be used to transmit the passion for gambling to PMU’s customer communities.
PMU CEO Cyril Linette said: “We are very pleased that Antoine has joined the PMU team to embody our brand.
“This partnership is the result of an obvious connection between Antoine’s family history and PMU’s business project.”
Griezmann is a horseracing enthusiast and owns a portfolio of more than 10 top-level horses in his native France, including Hooking, which won the Prix du Pavillon Royal 1m1f contest last month.
Griezmann said: “PMU is a brand with which I have a very personal history. It is in the heart of all the punters and the French people.
“It was my father who gave me the passion for horseracing with PMU when we went to see the races at home in Cluny,” he added.
