
Playtika secures Sevilla FC sponsorship
World’s largest social casino firm to promote various brands on Spanish club’s shirts through the season


Social casino developer Playtika has agreed a deal to become the front-of-shirt sponsor for La Liga side Sevilla FC.
The deal is reportedly a one-year contract with an option to extend it further.
Under the terms of the agreement, a number of Playtika brands will appear on Sevilla’s shirts throughout the year, starting with social poker site PlayWSOP.com.
Sevilla players will also feature in a number of Playtika promotional videos throughout the year.
“The sponsorship agreement with Sevilla, which shares similar values with Playtika, will allow us to reach new and diverse audiences,” Playtika CFO Arik Sandler said.
“This unique cooperation will strengthen the company’s brands, which are already enjoyed by tens of millions of players around the world.”
Playtika, which was acquired by the Chinese game developer Giant Interactive for $4.4bn last year, has 15 offices around the world and 1,600 employees.
Sevilla president José Castro added: “It is a pleasure to partner with a leading and huge turnover company as Playtika. This agreement is an important step to continue growing and give international prominence to our brand. We are grateful for the confidence of Playtika and we are convinced that we will help to make your activity widely-known.”
The deal is the first major sporting sponsorship from Playtika, the world’s largest social casino firm according to Eilers & Krejcik Gaming.
