PlayOJO unveils new global marketing campaign
‘Sounds Like OJO Time’ ad series to launch in the UK imminently, with future rollouts scheduled across various markets before the end of the year

PlayOJO has announced the launch of its ‘Sounds Like OJO Time’ multi-market advertising campaign, which is set to debut shortly in the UK.
The ad series, developed in tandem with London-based creative agency Motel, will be shown across TV, on-demand services, digital and social media channels.
Motel was founded in 2020 by Rob Smith and Lee Tan. The agency has previously worked with premium drinks company Fever-Tree and the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority.
After the UK launch, the campaign will be localised in Canada, Peru, Spain and Ireland by the end of the year, with more markets to follow in 2025.
The operator has unveiled two 32-second ads as part of the initial rollout which focus on people hearing Play OJO’s three-note jingle in everyday situations such as through a microwave timer, a car alarm or airport intercom.
The two ads scheduled for UK launch include one based in a car garage and another with an actor cooking a microwave meal in her flat.
The sound marks the start of ‘Play OJO time’ whereby the actor selects a game to play while the room transforms into a dance party filled with various whacky characters and inanimate objects.
Each ad is then signed off with the ‘Feel the fun’ tagline and the jingle is repeated.
PlayOJO said the campaign “emphasises the brand’s positioning, which is all about providing an innovative and entertaining space where players can have fun whether they win or lose”.
Peter Bennett, PlayOJO global chief marketing officer, said: “We really like how Motel took one of our strongest and most distinctive brand assets and built on that to create a uniquely fun and impactful new creative platform.
“We love how the new campaign reflects PlayOJO’s distinctive creative style and reinforces the brand’s positioning.
“Now the PlayOJO sonic can come from anywhere – a microwave, an airport intercom, a referee’s whistle – the fun can start literally anywhere, anytime.”
