PGA Tour launches GolfBet site after six-figure domain acquisition
The Action Network partnership will include video content and official PGA Tour data being used on the GolfBet site

The PGA Tour has made a further push into US sports betting after launching an affiliate partnership with media publisher The Action Network.
GolfBet content will be distributed via TOUR digital platforms, and include footage rights to support GolfBet video content, and official TOUR data.
The URL currently links back to a golf news section on The Action Network website, which includes sportsbook reviews alongside betting guides and calculators.
EGR Intel understands the deal was accelerated following PGA Tour’s six-figure acquisition of the GolfBet.com domain in January. The site will be largely subscription free.
PGA Tour SVP media and gaming Norb Gambuzza said: “In a typical PGA TOUR season, there are approximately 1.2 million golf shots taken across our schedule.
“This represents a massive opportunity for in-play betting, new types of markets for operators who have access to official PGA TOUR data, and tremendous opportunities for content generation,” Gambuzza said.
“We think that The Action Network has the unique expertise to develop a diverse array of tools, analysis, and other content which will help fans and bettors understand, access, and enjoy these new betting opportunities as the market evolves.”
Action Network CEO Patrick Keane said: “The PGA TOUR is one of the most forward-thinking leagues and rightsholders around the massive growing legal sports betting business.
“Our consumers are passionate golf fans, and we are excited about the opportunity to enhance our coverage via the launch of the GolfBet platform,” Keane said.
The content combination marks another move for the PGA Tour to legitimise its involvement in legalised sports betting, having last year signed a data partnership with IMG Arena.
PGA Tour also partnered with DraftKings to produce a Fantasy Golf product last summer.
