Penn National readies Barstool Sportsbook New Jersey office
Betting product to launch in the Garden State following its debut in neighboring Pennsylvania in Q3

Penn National Gaming (PNG) is preparing to open a Cherry Hill-based call center in New Jersey ahead of the launch of its Barstool Sportsbook in Q3, EGR NA has learned.
The office will house mainly customer services staff, with the firm now recruiting for a number of roles including a player experience specialist and payments analyst.
Jon Kaplowitz, head of PNG’s digital arm, Penn Interactive, told EGR North America: “New Jersey will be among the first few states [to launch the Barstool Sportsbook app].”
The Barstool Sportsbook product, which is being partly built in-house, will debut in Pennsylvania, PNG’s home state, sometime in August.
The casino operator has market access in New Jersey via Freehold Raceway, its joint venture with Parx Casino owner Greenwood Racing.
PNG acquired a 36% stake in Barstool Sports in January, with plans to develop a sportsbook product under Barstool’s brand.
In an interview with CNBC this week, Barstool founder Dave Portnoy said he expected the app to be “a dominant player in the game.”
Cherry Hill is also the New Jersey home for The Stars Group’s Fox Bet and Kindred’s Unibet customer operations teams.
