Partypoker "brings poker into the modern age" with new gamified mobile product
GVC poker brand transforms mobile app with new portrait mode and animated emojis

Partypoker has relaunched its core mobile app with a focus on gamification to try and encourage more play-on-the-go.
A new SPINS product featuring portrait mode gameplay is at the centre of the tech overhaul, which the operator hopes will revolutionise the way players play poker while on the move.
As well as portrait mode which supports one-handed gameplay, the app update includes a new social-friendly currency called Diamonds, which are earned based on the number of hands played.

Portrait mode
Other tech upgrades include an automated bubble chat feature and the use of emoji animations, which players can fling at one another during games.
Users will also be able to play on up to four tables at a time using the app’s new retile mechanic.
According to GVC, the Partypoker revamp will serve as a major company focus over the next few months and the operator will solicit feedback on the update from the poker community.

Multi-table feature
The product was already tested by a select group of players in beta mode prior to launch.
Partypoker Team Online’s Jamie Staples said: “This app brings poker on your phone into the modern age.
“The experience of just being able to play with one finger is something I have never had the chance to experience before.
“It’s so simple and intuitive and is by far the best poker app I have played on my phone,” he added.

Emojis and bubble chat
The new app will update gradually with SPINS games released first, while other formats will be added throughout 2020, starting with FastForward, followed by cash games and tournaments.
Partypoker, which won Poker Operator of the year at the EGR Operator Awards 2019, went live in the Czech Republic in February of this year.
